unta took a ‘big’ project recently. awarded by his old fren. after quite some time he didnt get any,his friend award him this project.he looks so proud of it masa mentioning it to me. aku dapat order nak buat part ni. 200 pcs i said alhamdulillah lah. i studied the part…. if i’m the one yg do the quotation i’ll make sure the NETT profit per piece is abt 30 percent of the total cost so let say nett profit per piece is rm50x200 dah 10k…. ngeh ngeh ngeh… sapa nak gua blanja mercun bola?? then i asked him about the delivery he said customer kata partiall. means siap 30 pcs hantar dulu 30 pcs and so on. oklah…boleh handle lah in that case
so unta pun orderlah materia for fabrication. bila bill sampai i terkejut… material he ordered is not the same from the material listed in the drawing.klau ikut drawing,overal material cost would be around let say rm1500 tapi now dah jadi rm4400 i stormed to him and he said customer request to change material…… ermmmm ok lah but budget dah lari ler!
then i saw the PO from that particular client…… UNTA QUOTED ONLY RM65 PER PIECE…..HOLLYSHITTTTT
almost half of what i would quote…..
then after about two weeks the client came to our office and bising bising…part tak deliver lagi! apparently he dah said to unta that he need 50pcs of it in two weeks;which we werent aware of!! maka terpaksalah aku mengarahkan hulubalang aku bekerja lebih masa walau dibulan ramadan yang mulia ini… unta? well every petang kol 5 dia dah ilang… maybe dia kena masak untuk buka kot!!!
bila aku betul betul buat costing utk that project….. untung kasar untuk satu piece is a mindblowing RM4.95 per piece!!!!!!!!! baik jual cendol!!
early of this month,i employed an old friend of mine; particularly to be a sales engineer. a former assistant engineer with a well known car assembler plant down south. he is hardworking; determined and love new challenges. characters that somehow represnt me in real life. so we can work well together and i know i can go much further in business with his assistance.beeing a friend and i know him very well; i just tell him kau masuk dulu nanti kita cerita about gaji and so on. he obliged and here he is…a new part of our team.
and yet…. yesterday i was presented a letter written personally by unta. an offer letter to my old friend. one of the terms and conditioned sets by him in the letter…..

cheh!!! i told unta i dont agree with the term and conditions tu. i’m in the process of training him and exposing him to the fierce business world. and the company should not be so kejam like that.besides; he had resigned from the previous company to help us!!

if you happen to read this. tolong paham…. aku just nak buat bisnes nak cari makan untuk family dan anak anak.nak bagi sikit kesenangan pada mereka and seandainya aku mati; ada satu perniagaan yang dah teguh dan maju untuk aku wariskan kepada mereka.
aku sanggup bekerja keras, bermati matian, bersengkang mata, mengorbankan masa dan wang ringgit and so on; semata mata nak melihat this company melangkah maju dan berdiri teguh in this line of business.
aku bersikap profesional dalam tugas… bermaksud segala keputusan dan tindakan yang aku buat adalah untuk kepentingan syarikat. mungkin bukan sekarang tapi masa hadapan. dan aku berani menghadapi cabaran dan dugaan serta persaingan. tapi kerja biar kemas;ayat mesti power.. baru boleh hidup!
