buffet

once a year; i bring the kids to the buffet buka puasa. just to tukar selera. lagipun, somehow rasa guilty gak since i always bring the clients for buka puasa and makan sedap2. so,i will make sure that the kids and the timbalan menteri dalam negeri would have the same privileges omce a while. were at one of the hotels yesterday… whoaa full house ! no reservation, no entry. so good aah the business.

one thing i notice pasal buffet ni, ppl tends to go to what they prefers. i mean; bayar mahal mahal but beratur nak ambik siput sedut masak lemak! or berbaris panjang just to ambik rendang tok or sabar menunggu giliran ABC ice cream…

dude… siput sedut you can get rm 4 per serving kat pasar ramadan laaa.

as for me; go for stuff that we dont do at home. pegi kat oysters, huge seafoods, lobsters,ketam besar2 and so on.dah tentu benda2 tu tak akan kita beli kat umah. then go for the japs spread. and benda benda yang pelik pelik (and mahal2 ) dulu la. takat tomyam ka,masak lemak cili api ka, rendang ka,masak serai ka and bla bla bla tu; kat umah pun dok ngadap benda2 tu everyday ! then pegi to western spreads, chinese and so on.. be  adventorus hehehehe

ella pajilla berbuka awal sebab dia ikut time dublin.🙂

tak tau la.. for me; its something yg rugi klu gi buffet and kita dok serbu foods yang kita boleh masak/dapat kat rumah. lagipun, hotels food utk malays stuffs ni kadang kadang bukannya sedap pun !

anyway, its just my opinion…🙂

  2. certain peoples their target for buffets are not luxury or weirdo food, but good food, and things that they dont buy, because they dont know the quality of it selling outside, and they also dont know how to cook it.

    so, i dont think going for siput sedut, or rendang tok is “tak berapa bijak punya idea”

    sebab, lain orang lain makannya

  5. Oysters tu aphrodisiac.

    Likewise, I consider myself adventurous when it comes to food. I’d treat meself with the dishes yang susah sikit nak cari kat tempat lain ataupun buat sendiri. Dah nama bayo memahal. Belasah je la… hatta bleu cheese yang rasanya seperti lumut di batu sungai tu. Pernah itu olang makan biskut meri dengan spread cheese masa pi buffet kat Palace. Ya ampun, dia punya Mem membebel tak sudah… kukikuki. Hai la nasib.

    me dah tiga ari beturut buka kat luar n pekena grill lamb… ari ni rasa nak demam…. terasa lamb semlm masih melekat kat tekak ni lagi… nyesal sehhhhh…

    today pun buka luar lagi sehhhhh…. but say NO to grill lamb!

  7. mama – betul. ada seorang sahabat; katanya tak kenyang kalau tak dapat nasi walaupun dah melantak mee,spagethi,kek ,roti dan lain lain. dan terbayang ungkapan seorang pak menteri – rakyat malaysia kena ubah gaya hidup; jangan makan nasi tapi makan kentang/roti dll…. -semasa krisis beras naik dulu!

  8. ledi – betul tu. mmg ada yg willing to pay that much of money. cuma bagi me yg jenis biasa biasa ni; terasa rugi kalau bayar mahal mahal and just makan things yang almost everyday boleh dapat…
