this week memang hectic. we’re behind schedule utk one of the machine supposed to deliver to client. actually, this client had awarded this machine to company A. then the company A engage company B to do it for them. biasala, company A ni cable dia kuat even tak tau buat kerja. but then this company B failed to design. another contoh businessman kedai kopi. cakap tung tang tung tang, semua boleh semua okeh. orang suruh buat roket pegi bulan pakai kertas surat kabar pun dia boleh buat kalau dengar dari cakap cakap tu !
then after 4 months delay, company A tarik balik the job from co B. and they award it to me. This company A didnt mention to me that this project has been delayed for the past 4 months. Maka, kami dan hulubalang bertungkus lumus lah. I need to design everything from zero and then pass to production to fabricate the parts. after that i need to design the electronic and electrical circuit and also order the parts. the machine also includes some pneumatic – air cylinders.
after siap the parts; we need to assemble, wiring, test and reconfigure and bla bla bla…. sapa kena buat ? akuuu jugak !
then tetiba last week the main client datang to my office/factory. and bila those japanese tengok machine dia masih barai and masih belum berupa machine; mengamuk sakan la si kontot kontot itu… cair taik telinga aku kena maki ! depa tu marah sangat sampai maki dalam bahsa jepun, hahaha dah abis vocabs english dia; bantai bahsa ibunda…hehehe
i gave them an analogy; kalau kita masak nasi, pakai rice cooker. the nasi WILL masak in one hour. we cannot force the nasi to masak in 20minutes ! kalau besarkan api, the nasi might hangit… then kena masak lain and start all over again…. its your call!
what can i do…customer always right ! makanya; terpaksa buat seperti yang depa suruh…. adehhh
i dont like what company B did. in business, yes..kita kena cari sebanyak business and projek yang boleh to ensure more money flow in and generates more income. but i tak suka tabur janji manismu. if i cannot do i WILL cakap customer i cannot. kalau they all nak within one week and i agak we cant siap within one week, i will tell them that i berterima kasih atas kepercayaan they all but i cant siap in one week due to this and that. BUT if they can accept if i boleh siap in 10 days instead of 7 days, i sanggup ambil the project. most of my clients can tolerate and will accept the offer.
thats the most important thing in business, kepercayaan. and honesty. kalau tak boleh, jangan cakap boleh. pastu bila dah tak boleh buat, tak boleh siap…mula la tutup telefon !
and i do admit, we sometimes ada gak delayed. lambat siap and so on. those things are sometimes unpredictable. time tu ler kena guna skill… mintak maap and goreng goreng 🙂
speaking about goreng goreng…. recently i went to a rest for lunch. and they asked me to cook my own lunch !!!!
